Dear Santa,

I have been good all year I promise I have. I stayed late at work to finish projects, I drove my off again boyfriend/husband to and from work. I adopted a family this year to donate gifts too and adopted a dog from the shelter, so see I have been good. So here is my Christmas list:

How about some oh so glam cream wool mittens for moh

Or to make mom happy a super warm hat

How about these amazing earrings from 7 Stars

Maybe some electronics, only two please. How about a laptop, something along the lines of this

Last but not least one of these so I can take pictures, or rather really gooood pictures of the things I am redoing, rehabbing and making purtty again.

Thanks Santa,

Love Diana!

Dear Nan,

I wish you could have been with us this year on Thanksgiving. But I know someone else had other plans for you. Other plans that would take you from us in body but not in spirit. As always I wish I could have spent more time with you. I wish you could have seen me get married or graduate but those are mistakes I made. I learned about all of the great things you have done and will always remember the fond memories. I love you Nan.

As of late I really really try to lead a drama free life, but working in my field sometimes that un-avoidable. Which means I am having a few small dilema’s in this whole buying a house thing. The sellers real estate agent is a prick, I highly highly reccomend NOT using this guy! IF you want specifics and you are in MD holla at your gurl and I will give you the details. However, many moons ago (like summer time) I stumbled across another house for sale on the sale street but 2-3 blocks down (almost across the street from my office) this house is to die for, I heart it. I almost got it confused with the other house because it is almost the exact same house. Only thing the other kitchen in original house is bigger and the original house has a fireplace. This house has a smaller kitchen but 2 more bedrooms then the other so (7 vs 5) One I can actually make a laundry room (HOLLER!) and has less repairs to make and the bathrooms I love (are in better condition) so I am thinking maybe that’s a better fit. Well here are some photos of the new one I am thinking of. Already I like the front better. It already has siding and shutters. Both of these features I was going to add to the other house. It’s hard to see in the photo but it has these stone flower pot things right at the step, imagine how cool those could be for holiday decorating!

Next you have this fantastic wrap around porch, oh and the chandy in the dinning room is crazy cool peep it out

Next the other bonus to this room well is the bathroom. Emm MEEE TIME!

The other favorite thing is some of the house details one of those details is the door knobs (odd thing to say right) but I have been searching for these doorknobs to replace on the said house. This house they read my mind and already have them some even come with the key!

It even has this beautiful Red Maple Tree! How gorgeous is this tree!

Sigh… say a pray for me folks, I think this is the one!

I found a few cool things at the Goodwill this weekend but not a whole lot. I was inspired recently to purchase some corning ware or pyrex, which I thought I should have some in my kitchen. I also am on the hunt for candle holders, skelton keys, birds and furniture.

I am still in the process of home purchasing which is def. a larger ordel then I thought. As mentioned, said dream home def. has some repairs that need to get done to make the house/home liveable. Mind you some repairs I can do (meaning friends, family and begging those with the acquired skills) but also just making it happen. I have a crummy realtor or rather the sellers agent is a douche (excuse the language but I keeps it real 🙂 ) So I had estimates done on Friday and each contractor or service provider def was giving me all sorts of mixed signals.
So mixed that I need a cocktail to cure my headache! But I still plan to move forward and hopes to be out of this crummy apartment by Xmas and into my dream home with all things wonderful! So I am still getting rid of old things replacing with new things and etc… and just passing time. Also collecting some things. I am in love with Monica’s blog in titled Monica Wants it I think we think a like and I was excited to read her blog as she too was purchasing a house! Well she got me thinking about Lights. When I was a kid I remember living in a house or two ( Military we moved alot!) that had a chandy or two. ANd I loooveee them. I think they give it that extra umph a room needs to be sparkly.
So I ventured off to overstock. com to see what they got. So here is some of the beauties I found for About $150 at Overstock They also have another one that is around $119, I am not sure what the differance is between the two. Also this one is super hard to put up if you plan on putting it up by your self as shared in Monica’s blog. But I am lucky in that way as my boyfriend/husband (currently husband this week) is an electrician, so I gots that covered.

Next on the list is this beauty, I think I am leaning towards this style although the first one goes great with my mirror re-do. This one I think is a little more our style or my style rather. Peep her out. This beauty also from Overstock is a little under $100 and def puts out some bling!

Next I think this one would look great in my dinning room at the new home to be. Along with this picture for inspiration! And it was only $50 at overstock, which I can’t beat and might even order this week!

Here’s my dinning room inspiration: Peep it in all it’s glory!

Many of you who know me personally know I don’t have kids. Not that I don’t want kids, it just hasn’t been in the game plan as of yet. But it doesn’t mean I can’t dream. There are a few of the wonderful blog ladies that I adore, not just because of their crafts, homes and activities but they have these amazing kids, that they clearly love to pieces. Now that I have reached a certain ripe old age, I have been considering the idea more and more and even more.

I am totally swooning for a little girl. Not that I wouldn’t love a boy the same but the cards have to have a little girl in there. I think it’s just fate especially with the new house of 5 bedrooms. SO I started looking at all of these super cute kid rooms. Now enter’s Restoration Hardwares Baby and Children’s rooms. Have you seen this sight! If you have run don’t walk to the nearest computer.

Here are some of the collections I stumbled across: Aren’t these adorable of course if I have a girl one day this is my inspiration. (Is it weird if I start collecting now, I mean these things are pricey!)

Have you seen these amazing super Fall inspired Burlap beauties? OF course I am talking about all of these awesome too fab pillows that I keep seeing gracing the blog world. Just cast your eyes on these. One is from Etsy Shop Jolie Mache I mean isn’t that just gorgeous! OR check this one out from a Blogger, She also gives a tut on how she made hers! Be sure to check out her blog here

Also another thing I am loving which I am trying to get my hands on, are vintage door knobs. I want to replace my current door knobs which vintage door knobs with skeleton keys as well. I have been searching ebay but found some featured on a bathroom re-do on Rehab Boutique’s Blob (also love your blog) Check her blog out here I am totally swooning over her door knobs with ribbon and key sigh…. searching on for another day!

That’s right so I am finally getting a few things done and crossed off my list as I hunt for fun new things as I prepare to decorate for a home that I Have yet to move into. Oh my gosh I had no idea how stressful home buying wise. Anywho I digressed. Well here she blows. Remember that super cute bread box I scored at the goodwill. Well here she is all done up.

Excuse the junk in the photo. I litterally have no space in my current super smaller then small apartment kitchen. Plus since I am packing and bringing things in and out all the time, certain areas are constantly junky (just for the moment)

Next, over the weekend, especially after seeing this beautiful stool posted on Better After (shout out to Better After, I love thee!) I kept thinking for my new kitchen I want to be able to take a seat while I am waiting on something(what I am not sure) or have the current off again and on again husband/boyfriend hang out in the kitchen with me. So why not a stool?@! The new kitchen is much larger then my apartment kitchen space ( thank goodness) but not super large for a cool island to pull a seat up to. But it has space for seating to chill or keep the cook company.

While out at a new Goodwill I walked around for what seemed like hours looked for potential decor items or furniture but finally stumbling across some cool gift wrap I thought it was time to leave or roll out but something caught my eye at the corner of the other entrance where these two stools: Mind you these bad boys were sickly dirty I mean like someone threw a party on it. But for $5 bucks each I couldn’t pass it up. I mean the ones on craigslist although were slightly cleaner they wanted $30 or $40 and chuld that is not in my budget!

So I dragged them to the front or really carried them with purse and wrapping paper like Super Girl and proudly handed the cashier my $10 bucks and some change.

First step, I busted out my 409 cleaner and sprayed these things down top to bottom. The pic above is pre-spray down. I think decided to match the kitchen I wanted something possibly gray and black and will later on add some print to the top.

Here she is all primed up

Looks 1million times better right, Yes I agree. I almost considered keeping her gray. But I went ahead and did a black bottom and kept the top gray. Which now I totally love it. So I bet you want to see the finish piece right? Well you’ll have to wait till tomorrow 🙂 Teaser ain’t I 🙂
