I have been good all year I promise I have. I stayed late at work to finish projects, I drove my off again boyfriend/husband to and from work. I adopted a family this year to donate gifts too and adopted a dog from the shelter, so see I have been good. So here is my Christmas list:
Say what…. Sorry folks I forgot to catch that wagon. I am so behind, I can’t even think straight. So this week, I vow to put up the christmas tree and get my but in gear for Holiday decorating. Its on like donkey kong folks. But I need a little inspiration. So enjoy a few of this pics as I prepare for the holidays.

Wondering what I have been up to eh? Well, tons and tons of crafts. For starters I came across this darling blog Let Birds Fly. She makes these super cute and thirfty magnets that display where she has been using old maps. How cool is that. I used some of her tutorial to create my own. You can find her tutorial here.
I didn’t have any maps on hand and I have been to a ton of places. But I wanted to test the idea on something different. How about that sheet music I scored at the Book Thing in Waverly! So off to the dollar store I go. I purchased round clear rocks, and even found magents there too. So total cost $2.05 with tax. SCORE! I think I might make some for the folks for the holidays but I plan on using smaller magnets, I think.
Next I pulled out my sheet music and used the rocks I purchased as my shape trace on the paper. Next I cut the circles out and pulled out my trusty mod podge. Now my instructions differ a tad from the tutorial so use what works for you! I put the mod podge on my the rocks and then stuck them to the little papers. After it had dried a bit I was able with the small scissors(make sure they are sharp) to trim the edges if needed.
Next my magents (which were called buttons at the dollar store) had their own sticky backing, so I didn’t even need my gorilla glue (go figure I was way to excited to use that stuff) I stuck them to the back of the rock and wala! All done. Took me a total of 5 minutes or less per magnet and I love the sheet music look.

I wish you could have been with us this year on Thanksgiving. But I know someone else had other plans for you. Other plans that would take you from us in body but not in spirit. As always I wish I could have spent more time with you. I wish you could have seen me get married or graduate but those are mistakes I made. I learned about all of the great things you have done and will always remember the fond memories. I love you Nan.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. May you cherish everything you are thankful for and help all others in need.
Happy turkey day!
Seriously, so you all know I have been craving dying slowly or something or other for a silhouette machine. Well Ms. Shanty2chic is giving one away on her blog, so walk oh what the hell run to her blog ASAP. As you know I follow a ton of blogs and as always I have to give some serious shout outs to some ladies for their creativity! It’s just amazing, or OFF THE HOOK. So I salute you!
One of those blogs that I love is Ms. Shanty2Chic. Please check her blog when you get a second or hours as I usually do. One of the things I love is all of the super cool things she does with ribbon and or fabric. Super cutE! But don’t let me spoil it, check it yourself.
Well maybe not really. I love stalking a few blogs as mentioned before so of you ladies are so crafty, I love it and I love reading about it. Recently someone mentioned Ballards which I have never heard of. So I decided with some free break time to check it out and to see all that I have been missing.
Next on my want list is this too fab bench, also out of my price range but what was great they had fabrics in Burlap. Which got me thinking about a particular little bench I just acquired(right off the street for bulk trash pick up day, don’t ask) but it was calling my name! That I would love to re-do. Remember for my sake and my dogs sake it has to be easy to clean, not expensive but nice and semi-glamourous for moi!
